# Your User Profile

The settings that belong to you as a user rather than to the Diarybook account: work hours, devices and how you sign in

In these docs, **account** means your organisation's Diarybook account: the settings, users and
appointments everyone shares. Your **user profile** is yours alone.

Most setup is done once for the whole account, by someone with administrator rights, and applies to
everybody. A few settings are on your user profile instead. You change them yourself, and changing
them affects nobody else. Go through them once when your user profile is created, then again when
something changes: a new working pattern, a new phone, or a device you no longer use.

## Where to find them

Open **Settings**, then select **My Profile**. Each page below is a section of the profile menu on
that screen.

An administrator sees the same sections for any user under **Users** → **User List** → the user's
side menu. See [Users and Permissions](/docs/setting-up/users-and-permissions/).

  appointments in. Set these early, because they govern when anyone can book you.
