Account Policies

Policies are important high-level account settings that can only be changed by the account owner. Policies can alter the way Diarybook operates and can show or hide capabilities from the account’s users.

Policies

The following are the account policies.

Calendar Syncing

The Calendar Syncing feature enables users to synchronize their Diarybook appointments to other calendars such as Google Calendar, Office 365 or Apple Calendar. The syncing is one-way - from Diarybook to the 3rd party calendar.

If enabled any user will be able to obtain a url that they can use with the 3rd party calendar to sync the appointments. They will have the option of whether or not to include client names in the details synced.

Copy Client Notes

When activated, whenever an appointment is made the client notes are automatically copied in to the appointment note.

Mandatory Waiting Rooms

When activated, users are unable to create an appointment without selecting a waiting room

Duplication Checks includes Archived Clients

When activated, users are unable to create an appointment without selecting a waiting room

Always Require Two Step Sign In

Ask every user for a sign in code on every sign in, even on a remembered device. Recommended where computers are shared.

Never Require Two Step Sign In

Never ask users for a sign in code, even on a new device. This is not recommended: it removes the second check that protects your account if a password is guessed or leaked.

Only one of the two step sign in policies can be on at a time. Turning on Never Require Two Step Sign In turns Always Require Two Step Sign In off, and the other way round. With both off, the standard two step sign in rules apply, such as asking for a code on a new device.
