Waiting time statistics
Why this matters
Waiting Time Statistics breaks each list down by priority: how many clients are waiting, how many have breached, and the average and maximum wait. Those are the standard figures for comparing a list against its targets and for reporting to commissioners.
Options
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Formats | View, CSV, PDF |

| Filters | Users (the users assigned to the entry), Waiting Lists, Status, Priority, Locations |
If you leave Status empty, the report includes every client still on the list: Awaiting Triage, Waiting, Waiting and Scheduled, Scheduled for Review and Suspended.
See Running Reports for the steps.
What it contains
The report shows the number of Patients at the top, then one row for each priority on each list, with an All Lists total row.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| List | The waiting list |
| Priority | Urgent, Soon, Routine, or No Priority for entries without one |
| Patients | The number of entries |
| Breached | Entries past their breach date |
| Average Wait (wks) | The average wait in weeks, to one decimal place |
| Maximum Wait (wks) | The longest wait in weeks |
Rows with any breaches are highlighted in red.
The CSV file has the columns List, Priority, Patients, Breached, Average Wait (weeks) and Maximum Wait (weeks).
What to watch for
A No Priority row appears Entries in Awaiting Triage can be added without a priority. They have no breach date until one is set, so they never count as breached.
Counts are lower than the list itself shows Unless you have Can view All Appointments, the report only includes entries with an assigned user. See Running Reports.
