Client group change summary

Why this matters

A group’s current size says nothing about how it got there. The Client Group Change Summary shows how many clients joined and left each group month by month. That shows whether a cohort is growing, shrinking or turning over, and it supports programme returns that ask for intake and discharge figures.

What it contains

The report opens under the title Group Change Report.

  1. Group Breakdown: a table of each group with its number of Clients, next to a chart comparing group sizes.
  2. A section for each group with a table of Month, Clients Removed and Clients Joined, and a chart showing joiners above the line and leavers below it.

The CSV file has one row per group per month, with the columns Group, Group Total, Month, Clients Removed and Clients Joined. A group with no changes has a single row with a blank month and zeros.

What to watch for

A month is missing from a group’s table Only months in which clients joined or left are listed. A month with no change has no row.

Group sizes don’t match the Client Group Summary Check the archive option. Both reports use it, and a different choice changes the counts.
