# Breach alert

## Why this matters

The Breach Alert report is the scheduler's early warning. It lists the clients on your waiting
lists in order of how close they are to breaching their target waiting time, so the ones about to
breach are dealt with first and no one is overlooked.

## Before you start

Breach dates come from each list's targets and each entry's priority. See
[Breach Dates and Targets](/docs/waiting-lists/breach-dates-and-targets/).

## Options

| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Formats | View, CSV, PDF |
| Dates | None: the report shows the lists as they are now |
| Filters | **Users** (the users assigned to the entry), **Waiting Lists**, **Status**, **Priority** |
{.table}

If you leave **Status** empty, the report includes every entry with the clock running: **Awaiting
Triage**, **Waiting**, **Waiting and Scheduled** and **Scheduled for Review**. Suspended entries are
left out unless you select **Suspended** in **Status**.

See [Running Reports](/docs/reporting/running-reports/) for the steps.

## What it contains

One row per waiting list entry. Entries closest to their breach date come first, and entries with no
breach date come last.

| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| List | The waiting list |
| Client | The client's name |
| DOB | Date of birth |
| Priority | Urgent, Soon or Routine |
| Status | The entry's status |
| Joined | The join date, when the referral was received |
| Weeks Waiting | Weeks on the list. For review patients, counted from the last attended date |
| Target Date | The breach date, adjusted for any suspension |
| Days To Breach | Days left until the breach date |
| TCI Date | The To Come In date, if one is set |
| Assigned To | The users assigned to the entry |
{.table}

Rows past their breach date are highlighted in red. Rows within 28 days of it are highlighted in
amber.

The CSV file has the columns **List**, **Client**, **DOB**, **Mobile**, **Priority**, **Status**,
**Join Date**, **Weeks Waiting**, **Target Date**, **Days To Target**, **Breached**, **TCI Date**
and **Assigned To**. It includes the client's mobile number, which the View and PDF versions leave
out.

## What to watch for

**Entries are missing, including every unassigned entry**
Unless you have **Can view All Appointments**, the report only includes entries with an assigned
user. With **Can view Department Appointments** you see entries assigned to at least one user in
your department. Without it, you see only entries assigned to you. Assign users to entries so they
appear for the right people. See [Running Reports](/docs/reporting/running-reports/).

**An entry with a TCI date is still listed**
**Waiting and Scheduled** entries have a date but haven't been seen, so they stay on the report
until they are moved to **Attended** or **Removed**. Filter **Status** to **Awaiting Triage** and
**Waiting** to see only entries with nothing booked.

**A suspended client's breach date has moved**
Suspension pauses the clock, and the breach date moves later by the number of days suspended. See
[Status and Suspensions](/docs/waiting-lists/status-and-suspensions/).
