Appointments
An appointment brings together a service provider, one or more clients, a date and time, and usually an appointment type and a reminder setting. What you set on the appointment decides which reminders go out, where the client is told to go and what the reports count, so it is worth getting these fields right.
Appointments are in the Appointments area, which has both the Appointments List and the Appointments Calendar. The screens are the same whether you enter appointments yourself or receive them from another system through Automatic Syncing.
Before you start
An appointment needs at least one user with the Can Take Appointments permission (a service provider) and at least one client. Locations, appointment types, waiting rooms and reminder settings are optional, but if you plan to use them, set them up first. See Setting Up.
