April 2026 Security Update: What’s Changing in Diarybook
Affects Diarybook version 8 (Desktop) only
We’re committed to keeping your data safe and ensuring that Diarybook remains a secure, reliable platform for all your medical scheduling needs. As part of our ongoing security improvements, we’ll be implementing an important update in April 2026 that will affect how you access the “Rooms” calendar view.
Why Is This Change Happening?
The “Rooms” view, introduced in May 2024, allowed users to see room occupancy schedules in a convenient calendar format. This feature was originally loaded from the Portal (Version 9) of Diarybook, rather than being native to the Desktop (Version 8).
With the upcoming release of Diarybook Version 10, we’ve enhanced security protocols to better protect your data. As a result, the cross-version functionality that supported the “Rooms” view will no longer be possible.
How to Access the Rooms Calendar After April 2026
Don’t worry—you’ll still be able to view room schedules! Here’s how:
- Sign in to the latest version of Diarybook.
- Navigate to the Appointments section.
- Click the Room Calendar button to access the same information in a secure, updated format.
Note: Starting in mid-February, the Portal button on your Home screen will be updated to provide direct access to Diarybook Version 10, making the transition even smoother.
